Basic Pistol Safety Course
Successful completion of this national course is a basic requirement prior to applying for a state pistol permit in Connecticut, New York and many other states. Students will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety principals, shooting fundamentals, an overview of highlighted CT General Statute firearm laws and resource information on New York laws. A national written examination and a live-fire range qualification is conducted at each program. A certificate is provided to each student upon successful completion.
UTAH Concealed Firearm Permit This four hour course teaches the necessary topics and techniques required to apply for a non-resident Utah Concealed Firearms pistol permit. Learn the fundamentals of firearms handlng and safety, plus Utah and Federal laws and regulations. Upon successful completion of the course you will recieve a course completion certificate, UTAH CFP Application and a copy of course material.
Personal Protection in the Home
This advanced eight-hour course is essential to the safe and efficient use of handguns for self-protection and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense from a home invasion or other violent attack.
Retired Police/Law Enforcement Officer National LEOSA Carry Card
We provide the Annual Range Qualification "Course of Fire" Certification w/Card for LEOSA HR 218 and S. 1132. Retired law enforcement officers from any state who meet the federal guidelines of this law. We use the CT. State Police course of fire and will use any other state's 'c of f' for out of state officers. Attendees must provide a copy of their agency's retirement identification card prior to range qualification and bring with them their revolver or semi automatic, 100 rounds of ammunition per pistol type, holster(s) and range gear (we will provide if necessary, no charge.). This course is offered throughout the week.
Training is also provided to law enforcement officers requiring corrective issues for their annual qualifications.
Tactical Defense Encounter Shooting
This four-hour course immerses the student into the Defensive Encounter Pistol mindset and is designed specifically for those carrying a pistol outside the home or maintaining one in the home. Students are taught the fundamentals of incorporating speed, tactics, and accuracy into their shooting. Firearm pistol drills conducted and tactical shotgun discussed.
Home Firearm Safety Course
This non-shooting beginners course teaches students the basic knowledge, skills, and explains the attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home. The four-hour course for safe gun handling is conducted in the classroom only. This program is for all ages - from young mature teenagers through senior citizens - for those interested in learning about pistols, rifles, shotguns and/ or becoming reacquainted with the guns they already possess. 
Private Instruction: Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Beyond
HF LearnSafety offers private, one-on-one instruction to help you learn new skills, or improve your current skills. You may use your own personal firearm(s) or ours.
Rifle and Shotgun Orientation & Training
This training is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation of rifles and shotguns. Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; the particular rifle model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the rifle & shotgun; and continued opportunities for skill development.
