Home Firearm Safety Course
This non-shooting beginners course teaches students the basic knowledge, skills, and explains the attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home.
The four-hour course for safe gun handling is conducted in the classroom only. Students are taught NRA’s three rules for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearms accidents; firearm parts; how to unload certain action types; ammunition components; cleaning; care; safe storage of firearms in the home; and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports.
Attendees will be exposed to the various types of handgun, rifles and shotguns and will participate in drills and exercises. This program is for young mature teenagers through senior citizens interested in learning about firearms or getting reacquainted with firearms they already have.
Please note: This is not the Basic Handgun Course to obtain a handgun permit.

HF LearnSafety Cancellation Policy: You may cancel or reschedule a class ten (10) or more days prior to the class date at no charge. If cancellation occurs nine (9) to five (5) days prior to the class date, you will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the class price. You are responsible for paying 100% of the class price if you cancel four (4) days or less prior to the class date. Refunds will be issued if the seat is refilled, or if due to a serious documented medical emergency, an appropriate medical letter is provided directly by your physician or a hospital emergency room doctor to us. All refunds will incur a $10. processing fee.
